Nkem wrote "Bee in the Backyard" during the new wave of quarantines in early 2021, but the timing never felt right to release the song until this spring.

Bee in the Backyard is an original lo-fi indie bedroom pop song that explores the feeling of experiencing springtime during the awkward social period of post-quarantine COVID isolation. Like feeling stir crazy but instead of going outside you opt to write make friends with the critters around the house.

This song, like most of Mon Nobi's discography, is short and sweet, and like all of his music, was produced, mixed, and recorded by himself fully using just an iPad. Hope you dig it!
